Alisa Knatko
Purealism
Alisa, also known across multiple platforms as Purealism, is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and surface designer based in Moscow, Russia. Working across painting, textile art, book illustration, and pattern design, she creates poetic visual narratives inspired by architecture, movement, nature, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
Her practice combines painting, weaving, collage, and mixed media to explore texture, memory, and emotion through simplified forms and subtle color palettes. Alongside original artworks and textile pieces, Alisa develops surface designs for interiors, fashion, and lifestyle products, as well as illustrations for children's books, extending her artistic language across different materials and scales.
Sustainability and thoughtful craftsmanship are central to her work. She often incorporates reclaimed textiles and embraces slow, intentional making, transforming overlooked materials into contemporary artworks that invite stillness, warmth, and contemplation.
Alisa has illustrated more than ten published books and has participated in international illustration exhibitions and art markets. Her artworks are held in private collections worldwide and are available directly from her studio. Every original artwork is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
